The Weed Committee works with both the Board, individual cabin owners, and DNR to ensure we have the latest information to help members of the LMNSC make the most economic and ecological decision in the way they handle lake weed control. DNR representatives ensure we are working within State and Federal guidelines when harvesting weeds from our lake.

The Weed Committee provides updates and offers suggestions as part of the LMNSC Annual Meeting. Any money this Committee needs is obtained through LMNSC funding and is approved by vote at the Annual Meeting.

The Mazaska Septic Association operates a shared septic system serving 42 cabins. A Board of Directors—composed of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and three at-large members—oversees daily operations and sets annual dues, which are determined each year. Annually, the association funds the pumping of one-third of the tanks, with each tank included in a three-year rotation schedule. The annual meeting takes place before the LMNSC Co-Op gathering in September.

The Mazaska Well Association consists of 41 cabins.  It is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Secretary, Treasurer and 3 Members at large. They are responsible for the day-to-day operations and compliance with the bylaws. There are annual dues determined by the Board. The well is turned on sometime in April and turned off towards the end of October. 10 cabins are not part of the LMNSC and obtain their water from private wells.  Some share a well with other cabins and some wells service only one cabin.  None of these cabins participate in activities of or pay dues.
